Little one really enjoyed this lunchbox. Instead of the usual ham & cream cheese sandwich I rolled the slice of bread, spread some cream cheese on top, one slice of ham and some steamed broccoli. Rolled it up and cut it in sushi style.
Homemade banana bread, yellow watermelon, strawberries and some pita chips to complete the box.

It's still 100F here at lunch time and kids eat outdoors. A light and fresh lunch box is the best.
I froze the @Stonyfield yogurt in the shape of the container with a rubber band so that it was frozen when I placed it back in the lunch box this morning.

Last cherries and first oranges of the season = ch

Last cherries and first oranges of the season = cherry & orange scones!
You might have noticed that we are a scones family here. 😆
There is always a bowl with freshly baked scones on the countertop. It's our treat.
Today I wanted to use the last cherries I was able to find at the store combined with some oranges from our neighbor.
You don't have cherries? No problem. Switch with strawberries or blueberries!

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
8 Tbsp butter (1 stick), cold from freezer and cut in cubes
1 1/2 cup fresh cherries cut in small pieces
zest of 1 orange

PROCEDURE:
In a bowl add all the ingredients starting from the flour + sugar + salt + baking powder + cold butter in small cubes.
Mix and slowly add the milk. In less than 2 min you will have your dough. Add the cherries and orange zest. Take 1 Tbsp of batter and create a ball with your hands. Place it on some parchment paper on a baking sheet. Keep rolling and keep some distance in between the balls. Sprinkle some cane sugar on top. Bake to 400F for 25’.
Store on the countertop. They will last one week/10 days, but I'm sure they will be gone before that!!

Easy Monday lunchbox with Ham&cheese lettuce sandwich (I added a sprinkle of hemp seeds in between and a tiny tsp of Vegan Majo to keep the bread moist.)
The yellow watermelon ended up being super sweet!
@stonyfield squeezable yogurt is always fun to add.
