Bruised or soft apples are still edible and perfectly safe to enjoy. You can prepare a lovely snack for your babies and kids. It only takes 3 minutes!

Our favorite option is the simple one: cooked apples. Nothing else, but you can have fun with different toppings:

- honey (for babies over 1 yr)
- almond or peanut or sunflower butter
- spices (cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg..)
- colorful sprinkles (yes, why not?)
- cocoa powder
- melted chocolate
- vanilla icecream
- fruit jam

How would you pack this lunchbox differently for 3yrs vs +6 yrs?
Yes, the same lunchbox can be adapted to different ages. One family = one lunchbox!

🌿 The featured one is appropriate for an older kid +6yrs.

For a toddler you can make the following changes:
💕 Reduce the quantity. This portion might be too much. I would cut the quantities in half with the exception of blueberries (they are super sweet and rich in antioxidants).
💕 Cut the tomatoes in half
💕 Serve the cherries already pitted (btw. do you know the metal straw method to remove the pit?)
💕 Cut the mozzarella bites in 4 pieces
💕 Pistachios. It’s a choking hazard for little ones. Too hard to swallow and they need to learn how to chew them. Substitute them with raisins, dried strawberries or a piece of cookie.

Easy lunch with leftover rotisserie chicken! Great for school lunch too.
You can use any leftover protein you have (chicken, a steak, shrimp..) and add any other ingredients. I used tomatoes, cilantro, Mexican queso cream. You can also add avocado, spinach, other kind of cheese. Have fun!
