Kale Pear and Carrot baby food
  • 2 pears
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 Cup baby kale leaves only
  • 1/2 Cup thinning liquid. I used the residual water from the steamer you can also use breast milk or baby formula or regular milk
  1. Peel the pears and the carrot; without the peel it will be easier for your baby to digest
  2. Chop them in big pieces
  3. Prepare the steamer and when the water is boiling reduce the heat and place the carrots at the bottom of the tray, the pears on top of them and than the kale (harder ingredients at the bottom, softer ones on top).
  4. Let the vegetables/fruit steam for 10 minutes
  5. Transfer in a deep container, add 1/2 cup of thinning water and puree everything with an immersion blender.
  6. How creamy or running the puree' should be is totally up to your baby's taste and age.
  7. You can store the baby puree' in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
