In a medium pot, bring water to boil; add oats, prunes and apricots.

Lower heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until all the water is absorbed.

Chop the pear in small pieces and add it to the oatmeal. Cook for additional 5 minutes.

Add the vanilla and 1/4 tsp grated fresh ginger. Stir to combine.

If you are serving the oatmeal to your baby, blend everything with an immersion blender to obtain a smooth consistency.

If you are serving the oatmeal to your toddler/kid: cut the prunes and apricots in small pieces before cooking and, once the oatmeal is cooked, simply let it cool down for few minutes and serve warm.

The recipe can be stored in the refrigerator for 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months
