Hi, this apple sauce is an amazing recipe for kids. I generally steam and grind apples for my 8 month old baby. I will definitely try this version as well. Can i also store this applesauce in refrigerator? If yes, how long can i store this?\

Hi! sure, you can either freeze the applesauce for up to 4 months or store it in the refrigerator for 4 days. I usually store the applesauce in small size containers so that I can freeze them and once I thaw one container at the time I can keep it in the refrigerator and enjoy the applesauce before the 4th day! ciao, b

Hi! being a first time mum, i was so lost till i found u on youtube 🙂 thanks a billion for sharing such easy and yummy baby recipes 🙂 ..its been two weeks since I’ve been trying to give my daughter food..but she only takes one or two tsps 🙁 ..and makes a face on the third spoon and sticks her tongue out, throwing all the food out.. is there an way to make the baby stop sticking her tongue out when eating, since she does the same when having water, she wants to lick it instead. she is already 6 months and 2 weeks old.
thanks again and keep sharing the amazing recipes
    Love

Hi Arifa, thank you so much for your message. I’m glad I can be helpful with my recipes to other moms!! Learning how to eat is not easy for a baby used to have only milk (either breast milk or from the bottle). The mouth movements are totally different when your little one eats some solid food compared to when she drinks milk. And learning how to switch from one to another takes time. At the very beginning (6/7 months) it is totally normal that babies just eat few teaspoons of food and than stop. And the fact that she is sticking the tongue out means that she is still learning how to eat instead of drink. Give her some time, it’s a natural process and she will very soon figure out how to do it by herself. Remember that from 6 to 12 months solid food is a kind of exploration for babies: new textures, new flavors. Up until 12 months the main source of food for a baby should be milk (either breast milk or baby formula) and solid food is just a supplement to milk. Let me know if you have any question!! ciao, b

[…] You might not have a ripe banana on hand or your baby might be allergic to banana. In this case you can easily substitute it with 1/2 cup applesauce. If you don’t have applesauce ready to use you can prepare it by boiling/steaming a medium apple (peeled and cored) for 8-10 min and blending it into a puree with a food processor or immersion blender.
