Hi! Good question. The dry bread is used to add moist to the meatballs. As a substitute you can use breadcrumbs or cornflakes or Rice Krispies (or similar, not sweetened). Ciao!

Hi Carmelina! Allergies are not fun, I know 🙁 You can substitute regular milk with either almond or coconut milk. And you can substitute ricotta with breadcrumbs and parmesan with 4 anchovies or sardines fillets. In this way you will also add some Omega3 to the nutritional value of the recipe!
