Teething cookies in 1 minute!!

Teething is no fun and when you see your little one annoyed, in pain chewing every single object he can grab you really try everything in order to give him some relief.

Before trying homeopathic remedies or standard medicines, teething cookies might be a good try. There are a lot of recipes on the web and I posted too two different recipes for babies under 12 months (no eggs, no dairy, no sugar) but this one I’m sharing with you today it’s currently my favorite as it takes no time to prepare and my little Alex really likes it!

It’s so easy that you will not believe it.

Few comments on the kind of bread you are going to choose. It’s important. I bought mine at a local bakery asking to give me an organic sliced loaf with no grains and no sugar. Basically a bread made with flour, water, yeast and a pinch of salt. It might be silly to say but sometimes it is not easy to find a simple bread like that. If you check the ingredients of a lot of breads at the grocery store the ingredients’ list is endless and contains a lot of things that you do not want to give to your little one (sugars, corn..). So, pick up a good quality healthy bread. Also, no grains…choking hazard.

1 – Let’s start cutting out the edges from a slice of white bread.

2 – Spread on the bread few teaspoons of apple sauce or any other fruit sauce your baby likes.

3 – Roll the bread in order to form a nice cylinder, easy to grab and chew from your little one. Use the apple sauce as a glue to compact the bread roll.

4 – Place the cookie-to-be in the microwave for 1 minutes. Yes, 60 seconds!! that’s it.

5 – Remove it from the microwave and let it cool down for 1 minute. The cookie will get hard and compact in no time.

6 – READY!!

This recipe is so easy and fast that I usually prepare one cookie at a time. What I really like about it, is that my little Alex really enjoys those cookies and they do no break in scary pieces but in tiny tiny pieces that can easily melt in his mouth. Of course I’m always there when he enjoys his cookies but I’m not terribly worried about him chocking.

I really hope your little ones will enjoy those cookies as my Alex does!

      Hi Ruby!
thank you so much for watching my recipes and I’m so glad your little one likes them!! Regarding the teething cookies I’m sorry to hear that they didn’t come out nicely. If the cookie is still kind of mushy the reasons can me two: the bread slice is bigger compared to the one I used or the apple sauce is more liquid. the solution will be to give extra seconds to the cooking time in the microwave. I would start adding 30 seconds and than another 30 seconds if needed for a total of 1 1/2 or 2 minutes. Let me know how it goes! Those cookies are still my little Alex #1 choice. ciao ciao! b
